Postpartum Planning Workshop: Corporate

About the Workshop

Planning for the Postpartum Period — Building Foundations for Recovery and Connection

This in-person workshop offers clear, evidence-informed guidance on how to prepare for life after birth. It supports parents to feel grounded, informed and cared for as they move into parental leave — and helps organisations foster genuine wellbeing during this key transition.

The session is led by Amélie, Certified Postpartum Doula (DONA International), with extensive experience supporting families in Ireland during the early weeks and months after birth.

What the Workshop Covers

During this 60–75 minute session, participants explore:

  • What the postpartum period truly involves: physically, emotionally and socially

  • Why planning for recovery and care is as important as planning for birth

  • How to create a realistic postpartum plan that supports healing and confidence

  • The role of rest, nourishment and community support in early parenthood

  • Gentle preparation for the transition back to work

The tone is educational, calm and practical with space for reflection and questions.

The Five Pillars of Postpartum Planning

The workshop is structured around five essential areas of postpartum wellbeing:

  • Rest & Recovery
Understanding what healing requires, and how to protect time and space for rest.

  • Nourishment & Hydration
Simple, realistic food strategies that support energy, mood and recovery.

  • Support Network
Mapping practical, emotional and professional support — and learning how to ask for help early.

  • Environment & Household Flow
Creating a calm, functional home setup that reduces overwhelm and mental load.

  • Emotional Wellbeing
Normalising the emotional landscape of early parenthood and knowing when to reach out for support.
